NR12 - Anti-Crushing System

NR12 COMPLIANCE FOR RESISTANCE WELDING MACHINES, WITH EXCLUSIVE ANTI-CRUSHING SYSTEM THAT ELIMINATES BARRIERS OR CONFINEMENTS THAT HINDER THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

The anti-crushing system, NR12 for various spot welding machines, developed by Sukha, patent application no.: (21) BR 10 2017 000568-2 A2, ensures that the pressure between electrodes is sufficient to lower the upper head with controlled pressure, eliminating the possibility of causing accidents or injuring the operator. To guarantee this functionality, the welding equipment must be properly adapted with features that will ensure great robustness to the welding process associated with operator safety, such as:

a. Safety pedal: responsible for activating the welding process; b. Safety PLC, which monitors all operations, ensuring that safety requirements are being followed; c. Safety sensor for validating the position of the part in relation to the upper head; d. Two pressure transmitters: monitor low pressure (safety); e. Two current detectors: verify current continuity when the electrodes meet; Note: for items that the market does not provide in safety conditions, such as: pressure switch and electronic current detection system, they are placed in duplicate connected in series, to ensure redundancy; Functionality (operational cycle) 1. The operator activates the safety pedal; 2. The automation PLC releases the pneumatic valve with controlled pressure, causing the upper head to lower; 3. Upon descending to the lower electrode, the safety sensor validates the position of the upper electrode in relation to what was defined in the respective parametrization of the part; 4. Subsequently, the current detectors verify electrical continuity; 5. If there is electrical continuity, the automation PLC releases the welding parameters defined for the respective part; 6. If there is no continuity, the system will understand that it could be a hand and activates the safety valve, releasing air into the atmosphere; Requirements that guarantee system functionality: In summary, the system is safe due to the combination of the following requirements; 1. For each new product, a "recipe" must be created with the help of the programming PLC, ensuring that all parameters are followed as defined; 2. The system will "always" be activated at low pressure and, only after verifying continuity, will high pressure be released; 3. The safety sensor validates the "safe" height of the part, not releasing high pressure if there is any change in this position; 4. The safety PLC controls the functionality of the entire system to ensure its efficiency;
